Studio Notes .01
What I'm actually working on in the studio this week. The digital, the analog, the in-between. Squarespace tweaks, Flodesk tips, and paper things that make me so very happy.
I started two new habits in December with the goal of moving into this new year with both in place.
1. Morning Pages while using this happy light.
This morning was Day 22.
2. Strength Training.
I completed this Caroline Girvan 30 day Iron series a few days ago and I'm on Day 3 of the second round. It's definitely not easy. In fact, if you check it out you might think, not a chance. But something about it clicked for me.
One of my favourite things? She doesn't talk during the workout. Just you and her, doing the work. I showed my son Bryce when he was home over Christmas and he was like, 'holy, zero body fat.' Not an exaggeration. But I just love her energy. And you can revise according to your level. Plus the comments from women my age and up are very empowering…
All inspired by growing research linking strength training to Alzheimer’s prevention and age-related muscle loss.
Back to the morning pages.
I'm enjoying it so much. The first 10 days were basically a rambling to-do list. But something shifted around Day 11. And then a few days ago, some lovely clarity.
Which led to my plan for the Studio Notes video series. Along with how to combine this with my White Space letters.
And my latest analog project: Minimalist Aesthetic Goal Punch Cards.
More on this in episdoe one below.
