How do I use the Remember This Apple Shortcut to save everyday memories and notes?

Hello lovely,

This might be my favourite Apple shortcut. And I don’t say that lightly.

It’s called Remember This. A free automation tucked inside the Shortcuts app that lets you quickly record anything you don’t want to forget throughout your day.

Moments. Gratitude. To-dos. A tiny detail for your next class or client. That one thought you swore you’d remember (but didn’t).

It’s simple. It’s built-in. And once you’ve set it up, you can use it with Siri or just tap and type. No additional apps.
And did I mention it’s free on your Apple devices?

Here’s what I love about it:

☐ You can speak a memory and have it saved in a note automatically.

☐ Everything lands in a folder you set up—mine is just called ‘Remember.’

☐ It updates a running list throughout the day (no new notes for every entry).

☐ You can use it on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

☐ You can even include photos (a bit like a Day One journal entry).

I’ve used it to remember poppies blooming, a quick edit tip for Resolve, a little line of gratitude mid-walk. The sweetest thing Miss M said.

All those tiny things that would normally fady away? Captured. Saved. Easy to find.

Want to see it in action? I made a quick tutorial walking through how I use it and how to set it up in just a few minutes.

Curious about widgets or home screen shortcuts?

Watch video two in my previous Shortcuts tutorial. I show you how to set it up as a desktop widget or add it to your phone with a tap.

Share it with a Friend

If this helped, feel free to send it to a friend.

Please share the link to this post…not the direct shortcut. That way they can see how to use it, edit it, and make it their own.

Thanks so much for watching and reading.

Let me know if you want more little automations like this…I’ve got some good one.

Til next time…
xx
Kim
