My Week in Photos — Week Three Festive Analog
and Quiet Mail is truly beautiful
I received my Quiet Mail order from the lovely Loralie this week. Opening that envelope… pulling out each carefully curated piece … straight to my heart.
And it got me thinking about something I've been noticing.
The Shift
For years, we went digital because it was efficient, accessible, endless. The feed became the gallery, the portfolio, our proof.
But now? We're craving the finite. The thing you can hold. The photo you print and tuck into a journal. The piece of mail that arrives with your name on it.
We're honoring the tangible again. The printed photo. The handwritten note. The somethings that exists outside the screen.
Quiet Mail arriving in my mailbox.
Printing my photos and holding them in my hands.
Quiet Mail from Loralie Hoffort
Shooting festive photos because the real-life light was soft and the moment felt worth holding in print.
The weight of something. The texture. The fact that it doesn't disappear when you close the tab.
A shift. From screen to tactile. Something real.
What does tangible look like for you right now?
One last Photo…
I have no idea what's happening, but we're getting the most glorious weather. November 21st … no snow … and the most glorious sunsets as I walk back toward town from the lake. Such a gift.
Thank you for being here.
Have a beautiful weekend.
Until next time.
xx
Kim
