My Week in Photos Week 1

Analog & It’s in the Details

The ‘Dark Room’ has a presence I can’t quite describe. (as if something extra special happened in this corner, once upon a time).

In spring, summer, and early fall, the light is magical.
This time of year the sun shifts. The light … less dramatic…softer… I’m loving it.

The other day I walked into the studio. The dark room sits to the right. I thought, I’ve been missing you.

So I set up this small ‘Analog’ nook.
The plan …
to start the day here… before the screen calls and the day ‘zooms’ by
Filling my Midori 1-page/day notebook (highly recommend) with a practice I haven’t ‘practiced’ in too long.
Writing as-if, present-tense ‘perfect day’ pages… one day at a time.

Today’s post is for Week One of ‘My Week in Photos.’
The theme: ‘In the Details.’

If you’re stopping by from our group, Hello lovely, I’m so happy you popped over.

Here is my week. I look forward to seeing yours.

I’ve been gathering leaves of my walks… home to studiostudio to the trail.
Pressing them, then placing them in pretty bowls and trays here and there.
(slightly obsessed).

And speaking of analog…
I’m on day 14 of daily printing… (and happy to report I’ve made good friends with my Tango replacement for everyday printing).

Here is the My Week Postcard … I’ve since updated it with a photo from this week…

Taking photos of photos… is one of my favorite pastimes .

One last snap…

Today was a bit full-on…
My walk didn’t happen until well after 4:00. (I’m still catching up to the time change).
Anyhow…
I walked the trail to the lake, then (for safety sake - not a fan of coyotes on my path) I took the road home.
and enjoyed this perfect sunset amongst the endless ‘prairie browns’.

Thank you for being here.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Until next time.

xx
