for photographers and lovers of all the beautiful things.

Let’s Start with the Photography & Tech.

In no particular order at all.

  • Can’t imagine my cameras w/o this L-Bracket. I love that it fits my favorite tripod.

  • Sandisk Extreme Pro SSD (for all the many big files). This one is small, compact, and so fast.

  • C-Stand = life-changing. Once you have one, there’s no going back. : )

  • For my filmmakers, this mic is a fav.

  • This vintage leather case totally elevates the Nikon ZFC.

  • Peak Design camera straps. Love all of mine.

  • I use this gadget to convert the Manfrotto ball heads (on my c-stand) and monopod to Arca swiss so I can use my L-bracket w/o having to add the Manfrotto plate.

  • Kindly, camera bags are so beautiful and definitely on my wish list.

  • This CalDigit Dock is a game changer. You’ll no longer need to unplug one drive for another. So many ports and so stable too.

  • The Wacom Intuos Pro is amazing for editing, but I use it 100% always. (no mouse ever.)

  • This printer is on my wishlist because of the much more affordable eco-tank ink.

  • Also, love this power tower gadget. It is just the handiest thing.

  • A new pair of AirPods is on my wishlist. My first gen battery is dying out.

  • This label maker is a want. (not a need).

  • Super random, but this is the handiest little thing for cleaning up crumbs and little paper bits.

  • I love this cordless hot glue gun. It’s so aesthetic and CORDLESS. If I was in the US, I’d ordered it. (but here in Canada, it’s something like $111???)

  • I first saw this sleep headphone/headband on Instagram. Have you tried them? So many reviews say how much they’ve helped with insomnia.

Pretty Things

  • I’m obsessed with these flameless real-wax taper candles. (in my pics today).

  • How did I not know about this electric candle lighter?

  • And where have these rechargeable twinkle lights been all my life?

  • This kettle is totally elevated and so pretty for pics. I love mine.

  • Also, why am I not using rechargeable batteries? They’re so much more affordable now.

  • I love this Bluetooth vintage radio.

  • I can’t imagine life w/o my Hangen racks from Studio 50 Living. And aren’t the squared concrete vessels in today’s top candle pic so lovely?

  • If you like a woody scent. This essential oil is a fav of all who enter my studio. (which isn’t many cause you know… introvert). But still.
Even the plumbers and meter readers comment on it.

  • Who knew a humidifier could be so pretty? On my wishlist for sure.

  • This is a fav diffuser.

  • And I love these pretty snips for pics.

  • How beautiful is this fountain pen?

  • The loveliest reading glasses ever.

  • And have you visited Dollarama lately? If not, you outta. They have a whole world of pretty things, including the little white pedestals in my pics, the coolest mason jar glasses that look amazing, filled with twinkle lights, and so much more.

Beautiful Books & Paper Things

  • Hans Blomquist re-released my favourite book of his. In Detail with a new cover and title.

  • Curate by the lovely Lynda Gardener and Ali Heath will always be a fav.

  • The Flower Hunter by Lucy Hunter is so completely inspired.

  • And how did I miss the re-release of Donna Hay’s Christmas Feasts & Treats? Her books are so full of photography magic.

  • And this vellum is perfect for the paper lanterns (in today’s pics). Extra thick and so elevated.
If you like my paper lanterns, I have a free printable HERE.
Print on letter paper. cut the page in half. Wrap the strips into a cylinder, and tape or glue to secure them. Pop over a battery-operated tea light, and voila. A lovely festive (yet minimalist) touch to your holiday decor.

Perhaps I Need a Part Two?

I’ll stop now. But perhaps I’ll be back with a part two soon.

Over to You.

Whatcha loving these days? Anything on this list calling to you?
I’d love to hear.

xx

Kim

P.S.

I just added a lovely perpetual calendar template to the print shop.

And in other news, I’ve quietly opened an Etsy shop with just one design. More to come. If you’re feeling generous, I’d love it if you popped over and gave the shop a follow. I’d be so grateful.
