DESIGN WEEKEND

This weekend I’m working on Jocelyn’s new site. The goal is to have to ready for Monday. Her new collection drops on Wednesday, so just a few days away. This is no ordinary website. It's super next-level and so custom. Jocelyn's photos make website design so easy.

Speaking of just an idea, this studio notes Page has been an idea in the making for some time.
The first seed was my holiday living letter from a few years back. An ever-growing blog post of ideas (but it was super clunky).
Then along came WSS WRITER and as I was building I thought what if this was actually published on my site.

But it took a zoom with Jeanne to actually make it a thing. For me and for Jeanne. Jeanne is taking her beautiful writing and publishing it daily.

This idea came from the question why stop on insta where it lives for maybe a day or two. Why not bring your beautiful writing to your site to collect and honor? Anyhow… that conversation sparked this and Jeanne’s new Daily.

REGARDING WSS:
This weekend I’m testing the new calendar zines - exporting, printing, making sure all is right. And FRAMES new ‘room to write’ calendar designs as well. Oh and testing SOCIAL’S sounds.

REFLECTION:

Brainstorming… sounds for some of the other motions.

There's just always something more that I can add, and I have a difficult time stopping myself from adding more, more, more.

I talk a lot about skills, and I think one of my skills is focus. I'm very good at blinders on and getting things done.
One of the skills I need to develop is constraint. Just because I can doesn't mean I should or need to right now. Which is super challenging for a people pleaser like myself.
