Paper Garland in a Jar / Step-by-Step and Supply List

In my last post, I shared a paper garland tutorial and dove pattern download.

Today. A Lovely and Elevated Way to Gift a Paper Garland

Inspired by the cookies in a jar trend from a few years back.
I thought why not a paper garland in a jar?
All the supplies are ready and set to assemble.

The paper garland kit!

Or, as my brilliant friend Michelle called it over on Insta…Joy in a Jar.
And may have to relabel the ones I’ve made so far.
So good.

How I Made my Kit / In Detail

If you fancy a little quiet time at my table. Here’s how I assembled my paper garland kit.
AKA
Joy in a Jar.

The Supply List:

  • jars (I bought mine at Dollarama Canada) but these are so lovely and a similar size to mine.

  • jute or cord of choice. pre-knot as outlined in this post.

  • fine gauge wire. I bought the wire at Dollarama. It’s a perfect weight, and I love that it comes wound around the wood. So good, right?

Optional

Labels.
I printed the jar labels and used the Cricut to cut them out.
You could also stamp the name on the paper cut-out wired to the jar.

A Beginner’s Cricut Tutorial for Cutting the Paper Dove Pattern Download

I mentioned in my last post that I cut the garland stars and doves with the Cricut and thought someone out there might appreciate the step-by-step tutorial.

How to Cut the Paper Doves Using Your Cricut Tutorial

Download The Dove Printable or Png Pattern

I drew a simple dove pattern, scanned it, then opened it in Photoshop to duplicate it multiple times on a letter-sized page.
Then I saved it as a PDF and also as a transparent PNG so I could use my Cricut.

Over to You.

Whatcha think?
Might you share a little joy in a jar with your family or friends?
Teachers, neighbors, someone in hospital?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
