Faded Peonies, Macros & Moody Edits

Day 7 of 31 Days of Blogging

I’d forgotten how much I LOVE blogging. It’s so free-ing to share on your own space.

Do you blog? Have you considered giving it a go? or trying it again?
Do share below!

Anyhow, today some moody peony pics taken at the front of the studio.
The evening light was so magical.

Funny story.
the hairdresser is next door. So while my highlights were setting I zipped to the studio. Cape on, foils flopping up and down, and took these pics….

Typically I edit (the front of studio photos) with the Shades of White profiles/presets.
Light and airy!
And I may re-edit these.
But for today…I thought I’d change things up. ‘Cause I can. (there’s no need to be all matchy, matchy around here. Right?)
Also, the evening side light had a moody vibe as well.
:)

Today’s Props

  • Hangen Rack

  • Vermont Linen Apron

  • Copper Watering Can from Winners

  • Stool from Winners (I bought 2 of these ways back when we were renovating the studio).

  • The basket is brand new!! Isn’t it lovely? Believe it or not, I found it at the drug store right across the street!!! Amazing.

Oh, and can we just take another moment for the fading peonies? Be still my heart. ♡

Camera Settings & Edits for the Styled Shots.

  • Nikon z7ii 105mm macro lens (I need to use this camera and lens combo more).

  • ISO 100, f/2.8, 1/1000

  • All images were edited with Taffeta from the Signature set.

Also, for the first time in a long time, I didn’t shoot any video. I’ll blame it on the hair foils and 20 minute timer.

I took this next one before I swapped out baskets. This is my absolute fav of all time.
